Alfred Park Accommodation was built in 1848 for a Whaling Boat Captain and his 14 children!

Today, the building caters for travellers who want excellent accommodation at budget prices. Oh! And don't be fooled by the Heritage Fascade .... wait 'til you see the more modern "Motel Style" block at the rear, the Courtyard , the Car Park and the old "Dungeon" for a bit of fun!

Whether you are looking for basic dormitory style accommodation or private rooms with all the modern facilities, we can provide just what you want. All rooms, including the dorms, have colour TV, fridge, fan and wash basin and now all private and most dorms are Air Conditioned (not many hostels can boast this). In fact more than half our rooms have ensuite bathrooms too!

Update: 21 June 2008 World Youth Day Accommodation. We are fully booked between 18th July and 24th July (inclusive) but if you need rooms around this period, we still have plenty! Internet performance a must!: Finally, 4 brand new high performance terminals have just arrived, together with WiFi throughout the whole building, so all rooms have top quality reception. The terminals are genuine internet cafe type with all the popular software, headsets, webcams and 19" monitors. Attic level more like a Doll's House: All four rooms on the attic level have now been renovated with new carpet, paint and air conditioning. Room 41 in particular is a true Doll's House (It's a female only dorm!) Air Conditioning a must: The big hotels downtown have a long way to go to become truely green. We don't run big, noisy, energy hungry air conditioners that run all day whether you're in or not. We run individual split system, energy efficient units. We are now the only hostel to provide air-conditioning to all private rooms as well as ALL dorms! And there's no extra charge either! Couple this with FREE internet(unlimited downloads including wireless) and you'll start to feel guilty! We have also extended the wireless capability, so all rooms get good connectivity. GUARANTEED! Check our room rates and you'll soon see that Alfred Park* is a true budget hostel for travellers. All guests will receive a pin code for free internet access for a limited time. Free internet access conditions apply New Computers:* Part of our improvements include new computers with fast processors and hooked up to our super fast ADSL @ 1500kilobits! You'll also be able to burn CDs and upload photos to your site, etc. At the Alfred , we can offer two separate courtyards (undercover and heated), a huge, well equiped guest kitchen, cosy lounge and plenty of off-street parking too. The BBQ area is great for socialising or just cooking up a storm! We are even rehabilitating the original basement for games, TV and lounge. The laundry is fully equiped with modern washing machines and dryers . Travel Service: Ask us about flights, tours, Blue Mountains, skydiving, surfing lessons, quad safaris and more. We have reciprocal arrangements in place with many providers and can guarantee you the best prices. FREE Airport Transfers: We provide FREE AIRPORT pick up when staying more than 3 "bed nights". This can be 1 guest for 3 nights or 3 guests for 1 night. We do charge a small fee for airport drop-off but we are guaranteed cheaper than all other transport services! NewMinibus:
