Welcome to Alfred Park Accommodation, a family run travellers hostel in central Sydney
Since its construction in the late 19th century, our building has been a constant feature of the Sydney cityscape. Originally housing the drastically large family of a whaling captain and his (probably exhausted) wife, the building has gone through many transformations throughout its lifetime. It has seen the development of a bustling metropolis and the formation of this wonderful city’s atmosphere.
It now is home to Alfred Park Accommodation, a family run travellers hostel. We cater for travellers and backpackers who are looking for quality accommodation on a budget.
Behind the heritage facade hide extensive renovations and modern facilities. Our newly renovated communal bathrooms offer clean and private amenities for our guests.
Whether you are looking for a bed in a basic dorm or a private room with all the mod cons (modern conveniences) we have something for you. We have mixed and female-only dorms available. All rooms, including the dorms, have televisions, air conditioning, fridges, and wash basins. There is a large guest kitchen stocked with utensils and tableware for your convenience. We also have an undercover (heated during winter) courtyard and balcony where you can enjoy your meal or a chat with friends.
At Alfred Park we pride ourselves on providing fresh clean linen, towels, doonas and mattresses.
Our friendly staff are happy to help with tourist information and advice to make your stay in Sydney all the better. Talk to Carly, Emily, Camille or Kal for the local tips on where to eat, what to see and upcoming attractions!
